What Size is a Split King?
A split king mattress is made up of two twin XL mattresses (38” x 80”) set side by side. The total size of a split king is the same as a traditional king bed, at 76 inches by 80 inches.
Will a Split King Mattress Split Apart in the Middle of the Night?
If you’re wondering how two mattresses stay in place throughout the night without leaving you with an empty space in the middle, you’re not alone. Our mattresses are specially designed to sit perfectly side by side so that you and your partner don’t notice any separation. And while most people don’t experience any shifting during the night, there are a couple of key elements we’ve built into the GhostBed Adjustable Bases to ease your mind: a non-skid surface and two metal retainer bars at the foot of each base to keep your mattresses in place.

How Much Assembly Is Required for the Adjustable Base?
Your adjustable power base will arrive at your door pre-assembled with just a few additional steps required. Simply unbox the folded frame on the floor upside down, slide the locking frame bolts to keep the mechanism in place and then attach the legs and retainer bar. That’s it! If you prefer to adjust the height of the legs, simply twist apart. The legs can be attached to the base using 1, 2 or all 3 parts (12” height total). Watch the setup video here.

Will the Adjustable Base Work With My Existing Furniture, Frame or Headboard?
Absolutely! The GhostBed Adjustable Base will fit anywhere that a regular foundation or box spring does, as long as there is a clear opening for the base to drop down into. If you have a frame with slats or storage drawers, for example, you would need to remove those in order for it to fit. Learn more about using a frame with your adjustable here.
Can I Get Two Different Mattresses With the Split King Set?

What Kind of Sheets Do I Need with a Split King Mattress?
You’ll need 2 twin XL fitted sheets and 1 king-size top sheet for your split king mattress. Add our Split King GhostSheets to your order for everything you need, plus 4 pillowcases!
