GhostBed Adjustable Base

Not everyone sleeps the same. With an adjustable base, you can elevate your head and/or feet to find the most comfortable positioning for you. 

Not only is it comfortable, there are plenty of health benefits of using an adjustable base, too. Elevating your head can help reduce acid reflux and heartburn, for example, and elevating your legs can reduce swelling and varicose veins. 

Plus, the GhostBed adjustable base offers relaxing massage settings, preset positions like zero-gravity and TV mode, two USB ports and under-bed LED lights that provide soft illumination. All the luxury features you’ll love, for thousands less than other leading brands. 

Your adjustable power base will arrive at your door pre-assembled with just a few additional steps required. Simply unbox the folded frame on the floor upside down, slide the locking frame bolts to keep the mechanism in place and then attach the legs and retainer bar. That’s it! If you prefer to adjust the height of the legs, simply twist apart. The legs can be attached to the base using 1, 2 or all 3 parts (12” height total). Watch the setup video here.

Just like our GhostBed mattresses, the Adjustable Base ships fast and arrives at your door via FedEx. We fold it up to package it, so you’ll just need to unfold it and then attach the legs and retainer bar. 

The GhostBed Adjustable Base works with all GhostBed mattresses. If you don’t have a GhostBed mattress, a memory foam or latex mattress typically works best with adjustable bases. Some innerspring mattresses may not be as flexible, depending on their construction.

Absolutely! The GhostBed Adjustable Base will fit anywhere that a regular foundation or box spring does, as long as there is a clear opening for the base to drop down into. If you have a frame with slats or storage drawers, for example, you would need to remove those in order for it to fit. Learn more about using a frame with your adjustable here.

For added protection, you can purchase an extended warranty which provides an additional 3 years of service for your GhostBed Adjustable Base. This fully covers parts, labor and freight expenses.

The extended warranty can be added at the time of purchase during checkout, as well as within 60 days of your original purchase date here.

Traditional king size beds and bases are very large and can be difficult to maneuver and set up. By arriving in four pieces (two twin XL mattresses and two twin XL bases), your split king set will be much easier to move around. And don’t worry—you’ll have just as much space to stretch out once they’re set up side by side!

It’s also the perfect setup for an adjustable base, since you can customize your position without disturbing your partner. Just imagine it: you want to stay up late watching TV, but your partner prefers to go to bed early. Or maybe your partner prefers to elevate their torso to combat snoring, but you love the zero gravity position. With a Split King Adjustable Base, the world is your oyster!

The GhostBed Adjustable Base can handle an industry-leading 750 pounds per base.

No, your GhostBed Adjustable Base replaces your box spring/foundation. Your mattress is placed directly on top of the base. If you have a bed with side rails, the base fits inside most bed frames.

You also don’t need a separate frame. The base is free-standing and sits directly on the floor.

With all that moving up and down, you might be wondering if an adjustable base is bad for your mattress. But as long as you’re using a compatible mattress, you’ve got nothing to worry about! 

Ideally, you’ll want a mattress that’s a bit flexible. While most memory foam or latex beds these days will fit the bill (as well as ALL GhostBed mattresses), some older innerspring options might not work as well. If you’re not sure, give us a call and we can help.

Engineered with expert craftsmanship and the highest quality materials, your GhostBed Adjustable Base comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

A full warranty is in place during the first year, with limitations in place for anything beyond that.

The GhostBed Adjustable Base comes with 3-piece customizable legs, so you choose the height that works best for you! Each leg section is 4", giving you a choice of 4", 8" or 12" total height. The base itself will also add a few inches:

• With 12" legs: 14" from floor to top of base
• With 8" legs: 10" from floor to top of base
• With 4" legs: 6" from floor to top of base

Side sleepers can absolutely benefit from an adjustable base, especially if you’re dealing with heartburn or pain around your pressure points (shoulders, hips or neck). While you won’t want to elevate quite as high as a back sleeper would, that’s the beauty of our base—you can manually adjust the head and feet to find a position that’s comfortable for you. We recommend pairing the adjustable base with a slightly-softer memory foam mattress that contours to your body shape (like the GhostBed Luxe) for a comfortable night of sleep!

At this time, we do not offer a sleep trial on our bed frames, including the Adjustable Base. But don't worry—your base will pair perfectly with any other mattress you choose, whether it's a GhostBed or not! All sales are final.
